  • Lee Tao is a renowned medical historian in modern China. His early work at Peking Union Medical College（PUMC） prompted him to pursue his academic interest in the history of medicine, and led to the publication of the classic work in the field of medical history in modern China: Syllabus of the History of Medicine. This study inspects Lee Tao's experience at PUMC and its impact on the writing process of the Syllabus of the History of Medicine, as well as on his research on the history of medicine and medical ethics.
