A Bibliometric Analysis of Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma From 2000 to 2022

  • 摘要: 目的 分析近20年来甲状腺髓样癌(medullary thyroid carcinoma, MTC)研究现状,以期为快速了解该领域现状及发展趋势提供参考。 方法 计算机检索 Web of Science CoreCollection 数据库,获取 2000—2022 年 MTC 相关文献(类型为论著和综述)。 采用 VOS viewer 1.6.18 软件生成高产国家(发文量≥30 篇)、研究机构(发文量≥60 篇)、作者(发文量≥30篇)合作网络图、热量分布图,及高频关键词(出现频次≥50 次)聚类网络图,采用 Cite Space5.7.R5 软件对共被引文献进行聚类分析和关键词爆发性检测。 结果 经检索共获得 MTC 相关文献 4866 篇(论著 3688 篇,综述 918 篇),年发文量虽有波动, 但整体呈逐渐增加趋势。 4866篇文献共来自 87 个国家,涉及 4250 家研究机构、 21016 位作者、 963 种期刊,其中共被引文献 93386 篇。美国(1436 篇)、 美国德克萨斯大学 MD 安德森癌症中心(139 篇)、 Dralle H(哈勒-维滕贝格大学附属医院普外科)分别为发文量最多的国家、 研究机构、作者。 高频关键词形成4 个聚类, 分别关注 RET 基因表达、预后因素、 MTC 临床管理与治疗; 近年来爆发性出现的关键词为 management(管理)、 survival(生存)、 guideline(指南)、 association(联系) 等。高共被引文献关注的重点领域是RET 原癌基因(RET proto-oncogene)、靶向治疗(targeted therapy)、RET 基因突变(RET mutation)等方面。 结论 近 20 年来, MTC 相关研究呈逐渐增长趋势, 以美国为首的发达国家在该领域处于领先地位。 当前研究热点是 MTC 的治疗、诊断、抑制剂的应用、 MTC 发病机制的探索。

     

    Abstract: Objective: Reviewing the state of research on medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) over the past two decades aims to offer a quick reference for understanding the current state and future trends in this field. Methods: A computer was employed to search the Web of Science Core Collection database for MTC-related literature (types: articles and reviews) published between 2000 and 2022. VOS viewer 1.6.18 software was utilized to create collaboration network diagrams, heat distribution diagrams for high-yielding countries (with publication volume ≥ 30), research institutions (with publication volume ≥ 60), and authors (with publication volume ≥ 30), and high-frequency keyword clustering network diagrams . Cite Space 5.7.R5 software was employed to conduct cluster analysis and explosive keyword detection on co-cited literature. Results: After searching, a total of 4866 MTC related literature (3688 articles and 918 reviews) were obtained. Although the annual publication volume fluctuated, the overall trend showed a gradual increase. 4866 articles are from 87 countries, involving 4250 research institutions, 21016 authors, and 963 journals, with a total of 93386 cited articles. The United States (1436 articles), MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas (139 articles), and Dralle H (Department of General Surgery at Halle Wittenberg University Hospital) are the countries, research institutions, and authors with the highest number of publications, respectively. High frequency keywords form four clusters, focusing on RET gene expression, prognostic factors, and MTC clinical management and treatment; The keywords that have exploded in recent years are management, survival, guideline, association, etc. The key areas of focus in highly cited literature are RET proto oncogene, targeted therapy, RET gene mutation, and so on. Conclusion: In the past 20 years, MTC related research has shown a gradual growth trend, with developed countries led by the United States leading in this field. The current research hotspots are the treatment, diagnosis, application of inhibitors, and exploration of the pathogenesis of MTC.
