随着脑医学技术的飞速发展, 神经与精神疾病的诊疗正经历着前所未有的突破与革新, 因此 《协和医学杂志》本期重点选题方向定为"新技术引领的神经精神疾病诊疗进展"。如何在封面元素中展现"新技术"这一概念成为此次创作的重点与难点。
脑医学领域的新技术涵盖了脑机接口 (BCI)、经颅磁刺激(TMS)、脑深部电刺激 (DBS)、脊髓电刺激(SCS)等一大类神经调控前沿技术, 这些突破性技术推动着神经精神领域的诊疗范式正在发生深刻变革。经过深思熟虑, 画面主体决定采用交通枢纽的形象来反映神经元的工作状态, 蓝色为正常神经元, 灰色为异常神经元, 各种神经调控技术分布在神经元的关键节点, 在维持神经元这一"交通枢纽"的高效运转中发挥重要作用。画面上方, TMS可通过调节离子通道功能, 影响蛋白质的转录和翻译等分子机制, 恢复神经元正常的"交通秩序";画面中央, BCI处于正常与异常神经元的交界处, 提示神经元的秩序化调控;画面左下方为SCS, 以黄色高铁代表接受刺激的脊髓, 比喻经刺激后的信号在高速传导;画面右上方为DBS, 大脑横跨在神经元的轴突上, 亦寓意信号的高效传导和神经元的精准调控。
TMS、BCI、SCS及DBS为神经与精神疾病的精准诊疗开辟了新路径, 这些技术不仅颠覆了传统治疗范式, 更推动了"脑-机交互"时代的临床转化, 将为人类脑健康与功能增强开辟全新可能。
