Abstract: To help clinicians, health policy makers, health administrators, and patients better know the concepts, meaning, and roles of clinical practice guidelines, Medical Journal of Peking Union Medical College Hospital plans to dedicate one special column to publish a series of papers to analysis the status quo, challenges, and opportunities of domestic and international clinical practice guidelines, and then provide recommendations and suggestions on how to improve clinical practice guidelines in China.
