Advances in Research on the Mechanisms of FOXO in Renal Mitochondrial Autophagy

  • 摘要: 叉头盒O (forkhead box O,FOXO)转录因子作为信号关键连接点,可在多种生长因子刺激下启动下游的自噬相关基因表达,参与线粒体自噬,从而影响急慢性肾脏病的细胞损伤与修复过程。本文对FOXO转录因子的调节机制及其对自噬和线粒体自噬的影响进行综述,旨在探索FOXO诱导线粒体自噬在肾脏疾病治疗中的前景。

     

    Abstract: Forkhead box O (FOXO) transcription factors serve as critical signaling hubs, initiating downstream autophagy-related gene expression in response to various growth factors and participating in mitochondrial autophagy, thereby influencing cellular damage and repairing processes in acute and chronic kidney diseases. This article reviews the regulatory mechanisms of FOXO transcription factors and their impacts on autophagy and mitochondrial autophagy, aiming to explore the prospects of FOXO-induced mitochondrial autophagy in the treatment of renal diseases.
